Today, in class, we:
Greeted students at the door with the gong challenge, using the threshold technique.
Copied our home work into our agendas (see below).
Stamped the home work entry in the agenda.
Picked up HW 3.1 using the Home Work Robot.
Watched and discussed CNN10 News.
Updated the Table of Contents in the interactive notebook (see below).
Created a Shaft 33A Soil and Sketch Map on p. 78 (see below).
Created a Shaft 33A Artifact Description Chart on p. 79 (see below).
Participated in the eight-level archaeology dig using the Lightning Stations format. (Note to absent students - Have pages 78 and 79 drawn and ready. You can better participate in the analysis on Friday. There will be a slide show of the shaft evidence running in a loop.)
On a piece of notebook paper, set up HW # 3.2 - Garbage Archaeology (see below).
While students worked on setting up the HW # 3.2 students who have not turned in the SW Asia/ N Africa Mapping Project were met with in individual conference to collect the map. This was the final "ask".
Homework:
1) Continue working on HW # 3.2 - Garbage Archaeology (see below). Remember to wash your hands afterward.
