Today, in class, we:
Answered a question from the DO NOW board using the Kagan Spinner.
Copied our home work from the home work board and discussed how to complete it (see below).
Watched and discussed a TED talk from William Kamkwamba to begin our wrap up of Unit 2.
Teams finished with the summation moved on to assembling the project displays.
Teams that finished had an early chance to complete the Unit 2 team building challenge.
Home Work: 1) Play the "Third World Farmer" online game and see how difficult it is to survive as a subsistence farmer. The game can be found in the "Class Links" drop down menu above under "Learning Through Gaming". Once done, look at the tab on the front page of the game for "Take Action" (see picture below). Explore the many world agencies and NGO's that are trying to bring aid to the subsistence farmers of the world. Pick one and be ready to discuss the agency if the spinner lands on you next Monday.
