Greeted students at the door with the gong challenge, using the threshold technique.
Copied our home work into our agendas (see HW#5 below).
Stamped the home work entry in the agenda.
Used the homework robot to collect HW#4 and any missing home work from previous classes.
Watched, discussed and wrote about the day's CNN10 broadcast.
Updated our Table of Contents in the interactive notebook (see TOC below).
Added our entries into the vocabulary primer on page 12 for the terms relative location, and absolute location (see example below).
Took and discussed Notes 1.4 - Compass Directions in Cornell fashion (see below).
On a sheet of notebook paper, created the home work (see HW#5 below).
Participated in an outdoor location identification activity to determine type of location (see picture below).
Home Work:
1) On a sheet of notebook paper, identify a relative and an absolute location for your home (see below). This is HW#5 and is your 5th grade in the course. It is due next class and contributes to your Home Work Portfolio grade.
2) Complete your entries into the vocabulary primer on page 12 for the terms relative location, and absolute location (see example below).
