Today, in class, we:
Greeted students at the door with the gong challenge, using the threshold technique.
Wrote our homework down in our agendas for the DO NOW.
Presented HW 6 and any late home works to the Home Work Robot.
Watched and discussed CNN10
Updated our Table of Contents (see below).
Updated our vocabulary primer on page 26 and added the term coordinate.
Reviewed latitude and longitude from the previous class period.
Learned how to determine coordinates using latitude and longitude on page 34.
Practiced finding latitude and longitude coordinated using a map with sliding lines on page 35.
Formatted HW 7 and showed students how to get to the source map to use with their home work.
Continued collecting, by individual interview, the Journey Home Research Logs and Project Maps from students who had not yet turned them in.
Homework:
1) Complete the vocabulary primer entry for the term coordinate on page 26.
2) Complete HW 7 Grid Coordinates.
3) Finish gluing in your Landform Glueables on pp. 27-30.
