Today, in class, we:
Greeted students at the door using the threshold technique.
Wrote our learning objective and homework down in our agendas for the DO NOW.
Participated in the Warmup Question using response cards and were examined by the spinner.
Presented HW 1.3 and any late home work to the Home Work Robot.
Used the glue army to glue the map standards to page 3 of the interactive notebook (see below).
Updated our Table of Contents (see below).
Updated our vocabulary primer on page 17 and added the terms, cardinal direction, and intermediate direction.
Took and discussed Notes 1.3 - Compass Directions on page 23 (see below).
Created the My Compass Rose device below the notes (see below).
Participated in the Outdoor Orienting Challenge (see picture).
Handed out and discussed, HW 1.4 - Directions to My Home (see below).
Homework:
1) Complete the vocabulary primer entry for the terms, cardinal directions, and intermediate directions on page 17.
2) Complete HW 4 - Directions to My Home (see below).
