MLA Works Cited Lightning Stations and HW 4.9 - Click on "Read More"
Today, in class, we:
Greeted students at the door with the gong challenge, using the threshold technique.
Copied our home work into our agendas (see below).
Stamped the home work entry in the agenda.
Collected HW 4.8 and any late home work using the static robot technique.
Watched and discussed CNN 10..
Updated our Table of Contents in the interactive notebook (see below).
Added the term, "Works Cited" to the vocabulary primer on page 25.
Revised the incorrect MLA Works Cited Format guide in the student agendas by glueing an revision over the old (see below).
Participated in Lightning Stations to practice creating multiple types of citations from varied materials (answers will vary due to varied material at the lightning stations).
Cut and glued the eight citations from the stations and glued them in alphabetical order on p. 36 of the interactive notebook.
While students were working, students with missing maps were interviewed to turn in their Map of East Asia project.This was the last of four "asks".
Homework:
1) Complete the vocabulary primer for the term, "Works Cited" on page 25.
2) Complete HW 4.9 - MLA Works Cited by rewriting in alphabetical order the citations that you glued in alphabetical order on p. 36 of the interactive notebook (see link above).
