Greeted students at the door with the gong challenge, using the threshold technique.
Wrote our home work down in our agendas for the DO NOW.
The home work robot collected HW 6.2 and any late home work.
Updated our Table of Contents (see below).
Updated the Vocabulary primer on page 73 to include the term, citizenship.
Took and discussed Notes 5.2 - The Greek Origins of Democracy (see below).
Created HW 6.4 - How Greek Are We? (see below).
Shared the new Active Classroom Module, "Power Basics: Ancient Greeks: Golden Age: The Gifts of Greece" (see link below).

Worked on independently in class on the Europe Map, or Active Classroom (see below).
While students were working, the four parts of the Unit 4 Summative Project were collected by individual interview. This was the 3rd "ask". Students missing parts of their project can turn them in during the final late "ask" during the next class meetings. By Tanglewood MS policy, late work can only receive a mastery grade. This means an IB 3 or lower.
Homework:
1) Complete Vocabulary primer on page 73 to for the term, citizenship.
2) Complete HW 6.4 - How Greek Are We? (see below)
3) Continue working on the Active Classroom Module, "Power Basics: Ancient Greeks: Golden Age: The Gifts of Greece" (see link above).
4) Continue working the Europe Map Project (see below) This is due May 10th for "A" classes and May 11th for "B" classes (see previous blog post).
