WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 22, AND THURSDAY, SEPT. 23, 2021 - A/B BLOCK (MORNING STAAR TESTING MAY INTERRUPT  A3 PERIOD)

​Today, in class, we:

A Classes:


Greeted students at the door with the gong challenge, using the threshold technique.
Copied our home work into our agendas (see below).
Stamped the home work entry in the agenda.
Used the homework robot to collect any missing home work from previous classes.
Watched and discussed CNN10.
​Experienced torment by Spinner.

Participated in the Kagan Cooperative Learning structure known as "Quiz, Quiz, Trade to review the 15 Major World Regions for ur test next week.
Experienced a vocabulary primer check to see how many entries had been completed.
Worked on either our primers or Journey Home Maps (see below).
Turned in, by individual conference, our Research Logs for  the summative project.

B Classes


Greeted students at the door with the gong challenge, using the threshold technique.
Copied our home work into our agendas (see below).
Stamped the home work entry in the agenda.
Used the homework robot to collect any missing home work from previous classes.
Updated our Table of Contents in the interactive notebook (see TOC below).
Added our entry into the vocabulary primer on page 13 for the term region.
Took and discussed Notes 1.7 - Regions in Cornell fashion (see below).
Drew the 15 Major World Regions onto a handout map (see below).

Used the glue army to glue in the 15 Major World Regions Map to page 30 of the interactive notebook.
Created Grade Sheet for Unit 1 and handed back all graded home works.
Spot checked the vocabulary primer section (pages 10 to 13) in preparation for a future test.
Reminded students of due date on Wednesday and Thursday for the Unit 1 Research Log and Friday  due date for the Journey Home Maps. 

Home Work:

1) Continue work on the nap project (see instructions below). It is due on Friday, Sept. 24th for all classes (see below).

2) Using your grade sheet and this website, complete any missing home works and turn them in to the home work robot.


3) Complete your entry into the vocabulary primer on page 13 for the term region. Continue to work to have your vocabulary primer ready for study for the vocabulary test.
