Debatable Question – Many great ideas and contributions have emerged from every world historical culture. Why are Greek ideas so widespread (well-known) and others less so?
Update the Table of Contents in your interactive notebook (see below).
Add and complete the entry for the following terms on pages 16 an 17 in the Vocabulary Primer – reason, logic, amphitheatre, historical narrative, lyric poem
We will be using following Active Classroom resource: Ancient Greeks: Golden Age: The Gifts of Greece

Complete all the reading sections by converting the multiple-choice questions into statements and writing them as notes on pages 52 and 53 of your interactive notebook.
There are three activities. Do only Activity 1 “Famous Greeks” on page 54. You are free to research more on your own - the one(s) that interest you. (Hint – our unit summative involves individuals and their significant contribution).
Interdisciplinary (Trans-disciplinary) Connections:
The other two (Activities 2 and 3) can be an interdisciplinary activity with Mrs. Savage in Language Arts and Mrs. Wuertz in Theatre Arts. We will address that tomorrow (Tuesday).
