Thursday, March 5th and  Friday, March 6, 2020 - a/b block

Today, in class, we:

Entered the classroom using the "Threshold" protocol, with a co-greeter welcoming students in a language other than English. 
Answered the warm up question on the board.
Copied our home work from the home work board (see below).
Used the Kagan Spinner to select students at random to answer the warm up question.
Collected permission slips from students who had them signed.
Collected the Governments of SxSExE Asia Thematic Mapping Project
Returned and discussed the E. Asia Maps. Passed out HW3 - Map Self-Reflection (see below).
Updated the Table of Contents (see below).
Discussed the concepts of market economy and command economy. In some classes, time permitted the distribution dilemma activity.
Set up the pages for the Affinity Notes 4.11 - Government/Economics Continuum (see example below).
Discussed the current world pandemic, Covid-19, using the government/economic continuum and a real-time tracker at

Home Work: 1) Complete your vocabulary primer entries for the following words, market economy and command economy on p. 14 of your interactive notebook.
2) Complete HW3 - Map Self-Reflection (see below).
