Answered a question from the DO NOW board.
Copied our home work from the HOME WORK board (see below).
Answered the DO NOW question using the Kagan Spinner.
Collected HW 2 and any late HW 1.
Discussed the Summative Project Options: The Social Issue Art Project or the the NGO Aid to South America Project.
All students were given the Social Issue Project Instructions first and shown the suggested starting point links (see below).
Discussed the library visit for research on Monday where students will conference and decide on which project.
Updated the Table of Contents (see below).
Created and glued in the vocabulary investigation for term "Colombian Exchange" (see below).
Took and discussed Notes 6.4 - Cycles of Change in the New World (see below).
Cooperative teams applied the Cycles of Change to a manipulative timeline of events (see picture above).
Began working on HW 3 - Categorical Timeline. Foy the homework students draw a timeline on a piece of notebook paper. The 12 event in North American History should be placed in order from BCE to CE (see below). Next, the five "Categories of the Cycles of Change" should be placed above the events indicating the stages of the Cycle of Change (see below).

2) Continue work on your Western Hemisphere Mastery Map Project (see below).
3) Complete HW 3 - Categorical Timeline. For the home work students draw a timeline on a piece of notebook paper. The 12 events in North American history should be placed in order from BCE to CE (see below). Next, the five "Categories of the Cycles of Change" should be placed above the events indicating the stages of the Cycle of Change (see below).
