Entered the classroom using the "Threshold" protocol, with each student having to provide a "Stand and Deliver" entry ticket.
Answered the warm up question on the board.
Copied our home work from the home work board (see below).
Random students were chosen by the Kagan Spinner to answer the warm up question.
Collected, via the random robot technique any late home work.
Discussed the Summative project for Unit 1 (see below).
Updated the Table of Contents for the interactive notebook (see below).
Added the terms, latitude, longitude and co-ordinates to the vocabulary primer on page 12.
Took and discussed Notes 1.7 - Latitude and Longitude (see below).
Took Notes 1.7 - Grid Co-ordinates (see below)
Practiced latitude and longitude co-ordinates in cooperative teams using the slider maps.
Collected, by individual interview, the research logs for the Journey Home project (see previous post).
Passed out HW#5 - Grid Co-ordinates (see below).
Home Work: 1) Complete any vocabulary primer the terms, latitude, longitude and co-ordinates on page 12.
2) Continue your Journey Home project. The 11 x 17 paper was distorted in class today, so you can create your final map. The Journey Home project is due on Monday Sept. 30th for all classes (see previous post).
3) Complete HW # 5 - Grid Co-ordinates (see below).
