Learning proper cartography os an essential skill that will serve students well for a lifetime.
Today, in class, we:

Entered the classroom using the "Threshold" protocol.
Answered the warm up question on the board.
Copied our home work from the home work board (see below).
Random students were chosen by the Kagan Spinner to answer the warm up question.
Reseated the room into cooperative learning teams. Each team negotiated which jobs each team member would hold.
Collected, via the random robot technique, late HW#1 and world problem assignment from the students,
Updated the  Table of Contents for the interactive notebook (see below).
Created our first two entries to the vocabulary primer on page 9: place and TODALS (see format below).
Took and discussed Notes 1.1 TODALSIG on page 25 (see below).
Left the classroom and travelled to the 2nd floor windows overlooking the courtyard to creat a TODALS map on page 24 (see picture above).
Discussed how to work on HW 2 - My TODALS Room Map (see below)

Home Work: 1) Complete the vocabulary primer on page 9: place and TODALS (see format below).
2) Complete HW 2 -  My TODALS Room Map (see below)

3) If you have not completed the Summer assignment, it needs to be completed. It will be collected and assessed on Tuesday, Sept. 10th for "A" classes and Wednesday, Sept. 11th for "B" classes (see previous  post).
