A table team in my A5 class work on the Pattern Analysis Chart as they review the evidence from each level of the dig.
Picture
Each team selected their best inference and the reports-recorder for each team recorded the inference on a class chart. We use these charts to see-construct our notes of findings next class.
Today, in class, we:

Answered a question from the DO NOW board using the Kagan Spinner.
Copied our home work from the home work board (see below).
Returned the SW Asia and N Africa Mapping Project, discussed how to get to and 8 and handed out the HW2 Map Self-Reflection homework (see below).
Discussed the meaning of the term inference.
Each cooperative team took 25 minutes to discuss the evidence they had catalogued in Levels 11 through 18 of the archeological dig, using our analysis notes from the lightning stations and a loop of evidence pictures on the Smart Board (see first picture above).
Recorded our team discussions on a Shaft Pattern Analysis Chart (see below).
Took 15 minutes to create inferences for each team based upon the pattern analysis. Each team selected the most important one. Recorder-Reporters from each team wrote the inference on the Chart paper on the way of the class (see picture above). Meanwhile team members glued their original Analysis Sheets to page 96 of their interactive notebooks.
Handed our Shaft Pattern Analysis Chart in as an exit ticket.

Home Work: 1) Complete your Illustrated Timeline for SW Asia and N Africa. It is due next class. (see previous post).
2) Complete HW2 - Map Self-Reflection
(see below) using your returned map project (see below).
