WEEK OF MONDAY, JAN. 4 THROUGH FRIDAY, JAN. 8, 2021 - UNIT 3 - THE RISE OF CIVILIZATION

1/6/2021

WednesDAY, JAN. 6, 2021 - Gator Day

Mapping Project Collection and Mesopotamia  - Click On  "Read More"
In class today, we:

Updated our Table of Contents (see below).
Updated our Vocabulary Primer on page 51, adding the terms, Fertile Crescent and city-state (see below).

We spent the remaining class time working on a lesson about the Agricultural Revolution at Active Classroom. It will be graded for the participation portfolio for Grading Cycle 3. The link to Active Classroom is below:

The Lesson is called "
Atlas of World History (Level I): Civilization in Ancient Mesopotamia" - Do all the parts and submit them when finished. The link is

Continued to collect the N Africa and SW Asia Mapping Project for in-person students in-class conferences in class. If they were unfinished they were encouraged to use the time to complete them and turn their maps in to me at the conference period between 3:15 and 4:00 pm. Otherwise they could join the digital students in turning a picture of their project in by 11:59 Friday, Jan. 8th  at the link below on the HUB.

Digital students will submit their maps by taking a picture of their paper copy and turning it in to the HUB (see link below). You have till 11:59 Friday, Jan. 8th  at the link below on the HUB. If you need help with how to take a picture of your map and create a file from it, see the Youtube video at bottom.

I will ask you for your missing project for one more class meeting. After that, the assignment is closed. Because it is late, understand that you can only earn mastery credit for you project, in line with Tanglewood procedures.

Some students were also asked to complete the Map Standards Quiz in Active Classroom.

Homework:
1) Complete your definition and picture on page 51, for the terms,
Fertile Crescent and city-state (see example above).
2) Complete the lesson about
Civilization in Ancient Mesopotamia at Active Classroom (see link above).
