Today, in class, we:
Greeted students at the door with the gong challenge, using the threshold technique.
Copied our home work into our agendas (see below).
Stamped the home work entry in the agenda.
Watched and discussed CNN10 News.
date the Table of Contents in the interactive notebook (see below).
Created a 4 Things About Hammurabi graphic organizer on p. 76.
Used the class set of textbooks to explore who King Hammurabi was.
Converted p 77 into a "Team vs Hammurabi" chart of the Lightning Stations.
Participated in Lightning Stations to solve problems from 3700 years ago.
Compared our modern solutions to Hammurabi's.
On a piece of notebook paper, set up HW # 3.1 - Mesoegyptomania (see below).
While students worked on the HW # 3.1 students who have not turned in the SW Asia/ N Africa Mapping Project were met with in individual conference to collect the map or assist if they are having difficulty.
Homework:
1) Continue working on HW # 3.1 - Mesoegyptomania (see below), using the resources below and knowledge gathered from the two Active Classroom modules last week.
