MonDAY, SEPT. 13, AND TuesDAY, SEPT. 14, 2021 - A/B BLOCK

Map Standards, Notes 1.6 - Hemispheres and the Unit 1 Summative Project - Click on "Read More"
​Today, in class, we:

Greeted students at the door with the gong challenge, using the threshold technique.
Copied our home work into our agendas (see below).
Stamped the home work entry in the agenda.
Used the homework robot to collect HW#6 and any missing home work from previous classes.
Used the glue army to glue in the Map Standards to page 2 of the interactive notebook.
Looked at examples of previous student work to identify the missing pieces of the map standards.
Updated our Table of Contents in the interactive notebook (see TOC below).
Added our entry into the vocabulary primer on page 13 for the term hemisphere.
Took and discussed Notes 1.6 - Hemispheres in Cornell fashion (see below).
Shared the instructions for the Unit 1 Summative Project (see below).
Handed out and began the research log for creating student research plans for the project.
Handed each student a piece of 11x17 paper to complete the project on.

Home Work:

​1) Begin work on your research plan for the Unit 1 Summative Project. Record your plan on the Research Log provided. This is due on Wednesday, Sept. 22nd for "A" classes and Thursday, Sept. 23rd for "B" classes.

2) Once done with the research plan, begin work on the project itself (see instructions below). It is due on Friday, Sept. 24th for al classes.


3) Complete your entry into the vocabulary primer on page 13 for the term hemisphere.
