MONDAY, OCT. 18 THROUGH FRIDAY, OCT. 22, 2021 - UNIT 2 - THE HAND OF SOCIAL SCIENCE

10/22/2021

FRIDAY, OCT. 22, 2021 - GATOR DAY

Return of Graded Work and Intervention Before Progress Reports Next Week - Click on "Read More"
Today, in class, we:

Greeted students at the door with the gong challenge, using the threshold technique.
Copied our home work into our agendas (see below).
Stamped the home work entry in the agenda.
Used the homework robot to collect any late HW 's.
Watched CNN10.

Created HW 4 - Test Whys and HW 5 - Map Self-Reflection. Retakes for the test will be offered only after a correctly completed HW 4 Test Whys has been turned in, showing evidence of reflection on performance. By Tanglewood policy this is only available for student making a 0, 1 or 2 on the test and can only be awarded a mastery grade of 3 at best (see below).
Returned all graded work.
Acknowledged students who scored an 8/8 on the Location Test and inquired into their study technique to model success for other students.
Discussed the map of a volunteer, willing for public dissection of his or her work.

Shared the master list of of the Active Classroom Portfolio confirming if a student has turned in all four modules and which one's had yet to be turned in (see below).
Shared the master list of of the Home Work Portfolio confirming if a student has turned in all three home works and which one's had yet to be turned in (see below).

Home Work:

1) Complete HW 4 - Test Whys and HW 5 - Map Self-Reflection and staple your test or map to the back for turn in.

2) Complete any missing Home Works or Active Classroom and turn them in by next class.

3) Complete the learning station that you worked on in last class to prepare for the learning station portfolio at the end of the six weeks. See the Unit Archive drop down menu above to find the station.
